Living with Cancer

There is a lot out there about cancer, but less about what is categorized as AYA cancer – shorthand for Adolescent and Young Adult cancer. Specifically, this is people who are diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 15 and 39 years old. (You can read more about this term here.)

I was 34 when I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer, which is young for cancer, and especially young for breast cancer. Only 1.9% of women diagnosed with breast cancer are diagnosed at 34 or younger.

I didn’t end up blogging a lot during my treatment, but I did post a few things. I wanted to share links to those posts here, in case they help anyone else who stumbles across this little site.
